GMD DUNG QUAT INTERNATIONAL PORT AND POSITIVE SIGNALS IN Q.1/2013

When the whole country were cheerfully welcoming the new year 2013 and the Port had finished the handling operation for M/V DAIO CREATION, on February 12, 2013, GMD Dung Quat International Port received M/V CHIPHOP belonging to Mitsui OSK Lines, Ltd. of L&Z HKG on its first call at Dung Quat International Port. This was also the first client of the Port in 2013. The vessel loaded 38,000 tons of woodchips to China.

This is a good signal of the year, promising more vessels calling at the Port.

By the end of Q.1/2013, Gemadept Dung Quat achieved the impressive Profit before tax of VND 5.2 Bil., equivalent to 43% of the year target as assigned by the Corporation (VND 12 Bil.), growing 291% compared to same period of 2012.

This is a very encourageble effort of the Port in the endeavor to promote the Corporation's growth in 2013.
